What We Do
Wings of Hope Ranch is Christian-based ministry pairing rescued horses with children facing challenges.
Renewed Hope through Rancher Sessions
Ranchers (children and teens) who attend a season at Wings of Hope can expect to participate in 8 -10 weeks of fun-filled 75-minute sessions, with activities ranging from a Bible-based lesson, barn chores, and interacting with a horse through horse grooming, groundwork or riding.
Somewhere in those 75 minutes, it is certain that the horse will do their special thing… miracles occur, and the Rancher leaves renewed, refreshed and feeling loved.
Since moving to our Forever Home we have add one-time sessions and weeklong summer sessions to serve more Ranchers.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
Any child 5 to 17 years old facing a challenge, who wants to participate, is eligible to apply and welcome. The program is free of charge on a space available basis. We serve children with many different circumstances, including those with special needs, siblings of special needs children, ODD, ADD/ADHD, ASD, trauma, foster care, abuse, abandonment, and family crises such as divorce and substance abuse. Sign up your Rancher today.
WE ARE MINISTRY MINDED
We do not provide counseling, therapy, or therapeutic services at the Ranch.
However, we know that the Rancher receives hope and healing from our Father in Heaven, from the Bible lessons, from the friendship with their volunteer mentor and of course from our rescue horses, who provide patience and unconditional love to all of the Ranchers. Have questions about our programs?
WHAT'S REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE
To be considered for program admission, complete an application by selecting the "Become a Rancher" button below. The Program Director will follow-up with you regarding your application. Ranchers can be offered an opportunity to be part of sessions based on both their availability and the Ranch's openings. Space is limited based on the number of volunteers available.
When participating in a session the Rancher is required to wear jeans or long pants, boots with a ¼ inch heel, and an approved riding helmet. Thanks to our donors, we have helmets and the boots available for use during sessions.
